Research and Education

From the outset,Amadeus has maintained close links with the world of research, collaborating with some of the world’s most prestigious scientific and academic institutions.

Among its long-standing partners are the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM), the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich), and the University of Guangzhou, among others.

Amadeus regularly designs innovative systems, on request and/or in collaboration with researchers and engineers from numerous national and international institutions.

The most emblematic development is undoubtedly the creation of 350 bespoke loudspeakers, developed in close collaboration with researchers at the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique for their Projection Space.

This unique space, where science and art meet, is a veritable sound laboratory, enabling researchers, composers and engineers to push back the boundaries of acoustic perception, and a unique setting for exploring innovative technologies such as Wave Field Synthesis (WFS) and Ambisonics 3D.
